Compared to the last year, there are 5 more students.<p>\nThe school has maintained a constant in terms of the total number of students in recent years.\nThe number of female and male students proves that the gender balance is more satisfactory than ever. However, it should be added that at least in the recent years there has been an approximate number of male and female students.\nAs expected, no major changes can be noted in parents' education. Most of the students are the ones who have attended the school in previous years as well. When it comes to education, only the parent with the highest level of education is taken into account<p>\nMore precisely: 9 parents, or approximately 3% of the total number have a college, or university degree; 136 parents, or 45%, have earned a higher education diploma; 151 of them, or approximately 50%, have completed the country\u2019s obligatory education and the remaining 9 parents, or 3% of the total number, have less than 8\/9 years of education.<\/p>\nOf course, when a little more than half of the parents have completed no more than 8\/9 years of education, it is not difficult to question the value these parents give to education per se and their commitment to their children\u2019s education. However, the value parents recognize to education is conditioned by other factors as well.<p><br>\nThe school has a considerable number of students whose families receive financial aid: 52 (17%) of them. Even the impact of this factor on the well-being of students and especially on their school achievements, despite its importance, cannot be assessed out of the context<\/p><p>\nAlmost 5% of students, have lost one of their parents at an early age. This percentage is comparable to that of schools in general.\nOnly five students (1.6%) have divorced parents, while none of them are in institutional care or of any other person. So, we can affirm that the families to which the students belong are not blended.<\/p><p>\nAlso, the school does not have any students belonging to minority communities, especially the Roma and Egyptian ones, nor any other community. The students are all part of the traditional community of the Velipoja area, which mostly consists of long-time residents of this area, but also many others who have long since come from Mirdita and Dukagjini.\nTeachers have not reported any students having particularly problematic behavior. This includes the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs. Something like this is also confirmed by last year's reports of the school's psychosocial service, meetings of the teachers' council and, in general, by the kind of problems that arose last year.\nTeachers reported a significant number of gifted students: 51 (16.7%). This number is also comparable to that reported in the social maps of recent years. This year, the psychosocial service of the school in cooperation with the school headmaster and teachers will undertake a more advanced step: the description of the gift these students have. This step is taken in order to turn everyone's gift into a strong point of the school, as the lack of recognition and development does not represent any advantages at all.<\/p><p>\nOn the other hand, 9 students (3%) with very poor results were reported. Their teachers will be asked to report on the reasons for their poor results and depending on the reasons they will offer new appropriate steps will be undertaken with their parents, the students themselves and other actors within the school (mainly teachers) to improve as much as possible regarding their learning abilities.\nThe teachers reported 11 students (3.6%) with learning difficulties. This is to distinguished from learning disorders. In order to respond to this situation, the school's psychological service during the first quarter will ask for information about the type\/s of learning difficulty experienced by each student. Depending on the results, corrective interventions will be applied.\nMeanwhile, there is no student with any type of disability reported by the teachers. There is only one student who studies in the 10th grade, who suffers from a chronic health problem: epilepsy.<\/p>\n15 (4.9%) new students have joined the school this year, but none of them are children or young people returning from emigration.
